POWER CONNECTIONS.
DETAILS FOR NEW CONSUMERS.
CHARTS TO BE SUPPLIED. A question asked 1 by Mr F. E. Flatt at the last meeting of the Thames Valley Power Board was, if a new consumer, when he came on, was supplied with a chart showing the various charges made for repairs and other information likely fo 1 be of value to him.
The engineer (Mr N. G. McLeod) replied that a troubleman’s sheet was always deft with eaph new consumer. It was. contended by Mr Flatt that the board’s minimum charge of £1 should be explained. He also thought that consumers were entitled to query the bona tides of the board’s inspectors, in vie,w of the engineer’s report of a recent incident. It was pointed out by the manager (Mr R. Sprague) that in cases where new power supply was taken the board’s conditions were set cut on the contract form.
It was decided t'° : set out on the troubleman’s sheet that there was a minimum charge of £1 for all connections made under one. chain in length, and in addition that the card contain a notice advising the consumer that 'he had a right to question the bona tides of inspectors and call upon them to produce their card of authority.
