HAMILTON STOCK SALE. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report:— At the weekly stock saHe in the Frankton yards last Tuesday we had a full yarding, all classes being well represened. Fat cattle again advanced in value, best cows making to £9 10s, (lighter weights £7 to' £8 ss, veal calves £1 10s to £2 12s 6d, forward cows from £3 10s to £5 ss. Fresh. 3%-year bullocks sold under fair competition from £6 5s to £7 IlsThe market for mutton showed a brisk advance on recent rates, ewes selling' at 25s Id, lighter sheep 20s to 225; forward ewes sold at from 10s 3d to 13s 3d. Breeding ewes were not much in dmand. B.L. rams made 6 gns. The advertised line of P.B. Lincoln ewes dll not draw competition and were passed in.

The second “ marked calf ” sale held under the auspices of N.Z. Herd Testing Association was fairly successful, the whole catalogue being quitted. Twenty-seven offered on behalf of Mr J. Nicholson, Of Okoroire, topped the list at £6 for the line. Mr A. C. Andrews, of Onewhero, sold his offering at £5 10s, Mr W- A- Wright, Horahora, £5 17s 6d.

Pigs again advanced on late rates, .heavy baconers making £3 'ss to £4 3s, medium £3 8s to £3 12s, light £2 18s to £3 43, heavy porkers £2 10s to £2 15s, 1 light £1 12s to £2 2s, fillips 12s to 15s weaners 3s to Bs.
