ANNUAL EASTER EVENT.
ENTHUSIASTIC MEETING. z Much enthusiasm was shown at the anniual meeting of the Kerepeehi Sports Association last Friday evening, when Mr .J. M. Thompson presided over an attendance of about 30 members and it was unanimously decided to hold the usual sports meeting on Easter Monday.
The' balance-sheet showed a satisfactory position, and little change was. therefore made irtf the personnel of the officers or in the programme and arrangements' for the sports. The prize-money was increased- to £ll2 Is, and a log-sawiiig event was substituted for a rescue race, this being the only alteration in,. the programme.
Officers appointed for the season were as follows : Patron, Mi- A. M. Samuel, M.P. ; president, Mr J- ’MThompson; secretary, Mr J. E. Smith; assistant secretary, Mr F. Stephens; general committee, Messrs D. Shilton, •A. Fisher, ,S. Garrett, C. Pearce, H. Baoth, W. Shilton, W. ’ Thomson., J. Hamilton, J. A. Bennett, J. MDevereaux; J. Hands, W. Kidd, j. Lawler, L. Harefield, P. G. Pearce, J. Nicholson, F. Rogers, W. Chick, A. J. Innis, F. Chick, C. T. B. Spiitih, J. Hamil, G. Courtney, W. Herkt, A. Middleton, J. Newman, W. Chapman.
The usual sub-committees were also appointed, including a committee to run the refreshment booth.
