Following the completion of negotiations with the Lands Drainage Department which have extended over some years, the. committee, appointed to go into the Questions of the settlers taking over the control of. the drain- : age of the Ngate.a-Pipiroa-Waitaka-ruru district from the Lands Dra n.age Department has decided to forAward the petition of the settlers to 'qthe Minister of Internal Affairs If the prayer of. the petition is granted the new board will take over at the beginning of June.
