ACCIDENT NEAR MACKATTOWN.

VICTIMS ADMITTED TO HOSPITAL.

A collision bejt,w«en two motor? cyclists occurred on the Paeroa-Waihi road near Doherty’s Creek early yesterday morning. It appears that a young man. named Frank C. Burt, employed by Messrs W. Fleming and Son, Ltd., Paeroa, was. coming towards Paeroa when by some means he collided with another young man nametd Bert Aitken, wtio is employed by Mr J. P. Gamble, and who was proceeding to Waihi. Exactly what caused the accident is not quite clear, but a head-°n colH-> sion resulted. Both riders were rendered unconscious, and lay where they fell until discovered later on by vin Rackham, of Karangahakq, who did all he could to assist them. Dr Fogg was summoned froin Paeroa, and after first aid had beep rendered, the victims were admitted to the Waihi Hospital.

The injuries sustained included slight concussion, facial abrasions, and bruising. Both machines were badly damaged.
