AURORA THEATRE PICTURES. TO-NIGHT. BREED OF THE BORDER. The terrific, stifling heat of Death Valley, and the terrible toll the desert takes of the men brave Enough to dare its hazards in their search for gold, is vividly shown in “Breed of the Border,” starring Lefty Flynn, which 4s to be screened to-night. SATURDAY NIGHT. THE SUNSET DERBY. Mary Astor and William Collier, junr., are seen in the featured roles in “The Sunset Derby,” to be presented to-morrow night. The picture is a story of the race track, and makes a considerable departure from the usual films of this type in that it 'is an intimate story of the real characters behind the track rather than the conventional plot which has served for so long. THE ESCAPE. Rapid fire, whirlwind action, and a beautiful love story off a jvbman’s faith -is “The Escape,” starring Pete Morrison, which is also to be shown to-morrow night. TURUA TOWN HALL. CONCERT ON SATURDAY. To-morrow at the Turua Hall .wilt be presented a high-class vocal entertainment by the famous Lyric Quaitette and Miss Alma MeGruer. This is a, splendid opportunity to (hear these famous Auckland entertainers locally. PICTURES ON TUESDAY. On Tuesday next will, be screened “No Man’s Gold,” with Tom Mix and his famous horse Tony. Fires and floods, ’quakes and calamities, fail to stop Torn Mix in his. quest for no man’s gold in this picture. THE LYRIC QUARTETTE. SACRED CONCERT ON SUNDAY. A musical treat' is. promised the local, public on Sunday night at the Aurora Theatre when the Lyric Quartette, Auckland, comprising Messrs A. Ripley (tenor), H. Richards (tenor), Alan McElwain (baritone), and E. Thomas, assisted by Alma McGruer (soprano), and Mrsr Ripley (accompanist©), will, give a sacred concert, commencing at 8.15 o’clock.
