AURORA THEATRE PICTURES. TO-NIGHT. THE WANING SEX. “ The Waning Sex,” to be screened to-night, tells of the younger generation of women who firmly believe theirs is the dominant sex, that every woman should have a career, and that men no longer rule the un'versq. THURSDAY NIGHT. THE HEART OF SALOME. “ The Heart of Salome,” which is the principal feature for to-morrow night, is the highly colourful story of European high finance and its shady manipulator, Count Zanko, who employs one of the most talked about women in Paris, known only as La Belle Helene, in his ruthless scheming of getting at his rivals’ secrets.
PRESBYTERIAN MISSION, LECTURE ON BILLY SUNDAY. In connection with the special mission being conducted in the Presbyterian Church by the Rev. John B>ssett, a famous lecture will be given on Monday night, December 5, at 8 o’clock, on Billy Sunday, ex-champion baseball player and great American preacher. Mr Bissett was associated with Billy Sunday in the City of New York, and will speak as an eyft-witness of this .wonderful man and his work, and will trace his career from the little log cabin where .he was born up to his present phenomenal success. He will tell of his athletic career, of his wonderful transformation —how he became an Evangelist, his attracting -25,000 people every night to hear his message, his cleaning up whole cities, his moving of whole communities. His story is interesting, instructive, and fascinating, and has drawn great crowds wherever it has been given. No citizen of Paeroa should miss this unique opportunity of hearing this thrilling recital on Monday night.
