The ■unmetalled section in the Franklin County has recently been graded and is as smooth as concrete, while the metalled portion is, in good order. The metalled portion of the WaitakaruruMiranda road is a little bumpy, but much better than the miles of rough metal on the highway, and the unmetalled road near Miranda in the Whangamarino Road Board’s district is still a bit rough, but is smoother than the highway.
