PAEROA DRUIDS.
HALF-YEARLY MEETING OF LODGE
The Star of Paeroa Lodges No. 18, held its half-yearly meeting in the Soldiers’ Chib, Wharf Street, on Monday evening. After the correspondence and routine business, the passing of s ! ck pay and accounts, and readmission of a former member were completed the lodge proceeded to the nomination of officers to fill the chairs of the, lodge for the ensuing six months. Every seat was contested, and a healthy interest was evident -in the elections which followed. The following brothers were chosein for the respective chairs : —■
Arch Druid, Bro. W. Gerrand; Jun’or Past Arch, Bro. E. V. Slyfield ; Vice-Arch, Bro. G. W. Brown ; Secretary, Bro. W. Turner ; Treasurer, Bro. F. E. Flatt; Inside Guardian, Bro. H. Wilton ; Outside Guardian, Bro. Hugh Gallagher ; Arch Druid’s Bards, Bros. M. Beattie and J. G. Wright; ViceArch Bards, Bros- F. Wood and Reidy. Special interest is attached to the nomination of Bro. Hugh Gallagher as district president in 1928. The decision of the lodge in this matter will be determined at the next meeting, when the names of all those nominated in the N<>. 10 district will be submitted to members. On the same evening the District President, Bro. Fqrkins, will attend to instal the officers-elect, and visitors from all lodges in the No. 10 district will be the guests of the Star of Paeroa Lodge at a social function following.
