CHANGES AT PAEROA.
COMMANDING OFFICER PROMOTED
Major (brevet Lieut-Colonel) C. E. Andrews, who has been staff officer in charge of the No. 2 regimental district, Paeroa during the past five and a half years has been promoted to the rank of lieut-colonel, and is to be transferred to the Northern Command as assistant adjutant and quar-termaster-gene r a 1.
Captain L. G. Goss, who succeeds Major Andrews, was born in 1895, and is a graduate of, the Royal Military College, Duntroon, Australia. He was appointed lieutenant on April 4, 1916, and promoted to captain on December 1, 1919. During the war he saw active service in France and Belgium during 1917-19, for part of that time acting as brigade intelligence officer holding the rank of lieutenant. On his return to the Dominion after the war Captain Goss was appointed adjutant at the Trentham camp in 1929, after which he held various appointments in the Central Command, Wellington. On October 1, 1924, he was appointed asistant adjutant-general at General Headquarters, Wellington. The pending transfers in the N.Z. Staff Corps are to be completed before Felyuary, 1928.
