The Hauraki Plains Cricket Association’s fourth inter-club competition matches were played in fine weather on Saturday. At Pipiroa Orongo was beaten by an innings and 39 runs, and at Kopuarahi the Turua eleven won by 107 runs, making 186 to the home, team’s 79. Macklow knocked up 98 not out and Averill 21 for Turua. At Kaihere the Waitakaruru team secured a two-point win.
