AURORA THEATRE PICTURES. TO-NIGHT. SENORITA. Bcbc Daniels proclaims that her current Paramount vehicle, “Senorita,” which is to be screened to-night, is the most exciting picture she has ever made;. Throughout most of the story Miss Daniels masquerades as a boy and gets into all kinds of thrill-
ing situations, out of which she extricates herself through sheer nerve and quick thinking. . BOXING CHAMPIONSHIP. Special arrangements have been made to screen the world’s championship heavy-weight boxing conteist between Jack Dempsey and Jack Sharkey. This picture is genuine, and patrons should not miss it. THURSDAY NIGHT. THE BOY FRIEND. Does the younger generation overemphasise the importance of keeping abreast of the tiines ? Does it really matter if parents become old-fash-ioned, non-observant ? These are the two important points brought up by “The Boy Friend,” which is to be screened to-morrow night. ST. PAUL’S SALE OF WORK. GAIETY THEATRE, TO-MORROW. The annual sale of work conducted by St. Paul’s Ladies’ Guild and other church workers is to be held at the Gaiety Theatre, Paeroa, to-morrow. The doors will be opened to the public at 11 a.m. In addition to a number of attractive stalls where many useful articles, fruit, vegetables, and delicacies will be procurable at moderate prices, there will also be luncheon, afternoon tea, supper, strawberries and cream, and iced drinks and sundaes available. During the evening various competitions have been arranged, and prizes will be presented to the, winners of the cooking competitions. An excellent musical programme has been arranged, whe_n the leading talent of the district will contribute items.
