LAST SATURDAY’S MATCH. TE AROHA DEFEATS PAEROA. On Saturday afternoon the Paeroa Bowling Club sent seven rinks to play an inter-club match at Te Aroha. The afternoon* was fine, and conditions were perfect for bowling. At the conclusion of an enjoyable and interesting contest it was found *li*»t the home team had won by 51 points. In conjunction with the inter-club match, the final game for the. Goldfields Stars was played between Matamata and Paeroa (W. H. Taylor skip). After an interesting contest the Matamata team won by seven points, the scores being, Matamata 22, Paeroa 15.

During the afternoon, on behalf of the Te Aroha Club, Mr Woods extended a hearty welcome; to the visitors which was acknowledged by Mr Purdie on behalf of the Paeroa team. The Thames Club is the next one to challenge for the Stars, and Paeroa then plays the winners.
