DISTRICT NEWS.
PIPIROA. SOCIAL EVENING. The Pipiroa Cricket Club held a very enjoyable euchre and dance last Wediesday evening. The music was supplied by Ludlow’s orchestra and Mr J. Neate was M.C. The various prize-winners during the evening ware —Euchre : Ladies, Mrs Bower; booby, Mrs J. Galvin ; gentlemen, Mr H. Dalgety : booby, Mt J- Knox. In conjunction with the euchre two guessing competitions took place, Miss F. A. McAulay guessing, the length of string, and Mr P. Clark the number of peas In the bottle.
