PERSONAL
Mr S. H. Agar, inspector of steel structures, Public Works Department, Wellington, is at present on a visit to Paeroa on departmental business.
The friends of Mr P. B. Brenan, who has been ill for over a week, will be pleased to learn that he has so far recovered-as to he able to attend at his office to-day.
Captain G. Dittmer, M.C., N.Z.S.C., Auckland, is at present at Paeroa supervising the candidates who are sitting for their first appointments to Commission examination.
His Worship the Mayor (Mr W. Marshall) has been confined to his bed with a severe attack of influenza since Saturday last. On inquiries being made this morning it was, learned that Mr Marshall is feeling a little better. :
