MOLLIE FITZPATRICK SHIELD.
TE AROHA DEFEATS PAEROA
On Wednesday afternoon the members, of the Paeroa High School basketball team journeyed to Te Aroha to play for the Mollie Fitz Patrick Shield against the local High School team. The game proved clofee and exciting throughout. At the end of the final spell the scores stood at 19 goals all, and it was then decided to play a further two spells of three minutes each in ordere to decide <-he winners. During the extra spells the home side scored two goals to Pae-. roa ? s one, and thus won the shield foi the season by one goal. Miss H. Taylor and Mr Adams- were referees.
The shield, "which waist presented for competition among the schools affiliated with the Thames Valley Basketball Association was won last year by the Paeroa High School team.
