Mr A- W. Wellstead, business, agent for the N.Z. Railways, was in Paeroa on departmental business this morning.

His Worship the Mayor (Mr W. Marshall) and Cr. F. E. Flatt (chairman of the Finance Committee) returned to Paeroa yesterday morning from a visit to Wellington on municipal business.

The Rev. W. G. H. We.adon and Messrs. W. J. Towers and R. W Evans, of St. Paul’s Church, left this morning to attend a meeting of the Waikato Synod at St. Peter’s Church, Hamilton.
