N.Z. CRICKETERS.
MATCH AGAINST SCOTLAND. RAIN CAUSES ABANDONMENT. (On Friday last the 'lew Zealand cricketers commenced a two days’ match against Scotland at Glasgow. In the first innings the home team made 233 runs, and the visitors had lost two pickets for 90 runs at the end of the day’s play. Cabled advice was received this morning that the game could not be continued on Saturday owing to rain, and the match had been abandoned. Commencing this morning, the New Zealanders are scheduled to play a two days’ match against the Scottish Counties at Broughty Ferry (Dundee).
