THE PLAINS ASSOCIATION. TEAMS FOR SATURDAY. To enable the best team to be selected to represent the Hauraki Plains in the forthcoming Country Week tournament in Auckland early next month the Hauraki Plains Ladies’ Hockey Association has decided to, play a Possibles/ v. Probables match {it Ngatea on Saturday next, and the following have been chosen by the selectors, Messrs C. W. Harris, S. Cook, and E. Campbell, to take part: Possibles. —Goal, Miss V. Denize ; left full-back, Miss M. Miller.; right full-back. Miss B. Thompson; halfbacks, Miss L. Ellis, Mi's Kidd (capt.), Miss S- McPherson ; forwards centre Miss K. Courtney, left inner Miss E. Wheeler, left wing, Miss F. Berney, right inner Miss T. McKerchar, right wing Miss E. Jowsey. Emergencies: Mrs Hira and Miss Wade.
Probables.—Goal, Miss R. Harris ; left full-back, Miss Thelma Sloane ; right full-back, Miss I. Jessen ; halfbacks. Miss M. Harwood, Mrs Watts (capt.), Miss Gwen. Harris ; forwards, centre Miss M. Beaver, inner left Miss A. Candy, left wing Miss M. Courtney, right inner Miss E. Candy, right wing Miss Madge Beaver. Emergencies: Misses M. Peters and B. Hunter.
The game will commence at .1.30 p.m. as a curtain-raiser to the Wai-takaruru-Ngatea football matches.
