NETHERTON HALL.

DEBENTURE-HOLDERS’ MEETING. YEAR OF PROGRESS SHOWN. • A meeting of debenture-holders in the Netherton Hall w r as held in the hall on Wednesday night, the president (Mr R. H. Heappy) presiding over an attendance of 15 "persons. The annual report stated that a year of progress had been enjoyed. The revenue for the year amounted to £l6B Ils 6d. as against £B7 6s 2d earned during the preceding 12 months. Considerable improvements, totalling £6l, had been carried out on the structure, and the Netherton people were now the fortunate possessors of a hall second to none in the district. In moving the adoption of the report and balance-sheet the president paid a tribute to the untiring efforts of the secretary, Mr T. Vowles. The resolution was seconded by Mr C. H. Potter and carried with acclamation.

It was resolved to effect further improvements to the hall from time to time, as finances permitted. A working bee was held yesterday afternoon, when Messrs R. H. Heappey. Harold Bros., W. Morrison, K. Morrison, W. Richmond, C. Stembridge, and T. Vowles attended. The work carried out w-as the concreting of a portion of the approach to the main entrance of the hall.
