TRUNK MURDER CASE.
SCOTLAND YARD ACTIVITIES,
CLERK ARRESTED FOR CRIME.
LONDON, May 23
John Robinson (46), a clerk, was arrested and charged wtih the murdei arrested and charged with the murder of Minnie Bonati, whose dismembered body was found in a trunk at Charing Cross railway station. Robinson has been under observation for a week in connection with the Bonati murder. To-morrow he will face a charge of murder at Westminister Police Court.
It is understood that Robinson has already been examined by Scotland Yard, one of 120 persons interviewed in connection witli the crime.
Robinson was in bed when the police- called, and he expressed amazement at the visit of the detectives. When dressed he was handcuffed and taken by motor to Scotland Yard, pending identification. Detectives are now hard at work clearing the room at Rochester, whore it is believed that Bonati met her ■death. It is furnished like an office, with a roll-top desk and safe.
