MONTHLY MEETING OF BOARD. ROUTINE BUSINESS. The monthly meeting of the Thames Plospital and Charitable Aid Board was held, at Thames on Monday. the. chairman (Mr W. E. Hale) presiding over the following : Messrs P. E. Brenan, A. R. Robinson, E. L. Walton, C. AV. Kennedy, J. Lange, J. Rowe, W. J. Hall, J. AV. Dauby, C. AV. Parfiitt, and G. Tonge (secretary). VISIT OF MINISTERS. An invitation was received from the Thames Borough Council to the chairman and secretary to be present at a social to be held on April 12, on the occasion of the visit of the Hon. K. S. Williams and the Hon. A. D. McLeod. The chairman expressed his regret that he was unable to attend. BENEVOLENT SOCIETY. The Hauraki Ladies’ Benevolent Society forwarded accounts for payment and requested the usual contribution of £lO. —Granted. The Napier Women’s Christian Temperance Union forwarded a resolution to the effect that all hospital boards be urged to establish a six-day week of 8 hours daily for nurses, instead of the seven-day week at present in force.—Received. ACCOUNTS. Accounts amounting to £.1548 Ils lid were passed for payment.
