PERSONAL

The Rev. G. W. H. Weadon, of Rotorua, has been appointed vicar of St. Paul’s Church, Paeroa. The probable date of the institution of Mr Weadon to the parochial district is April 5.

Messrs O. G. Thornton, resident engineer, and A. P. Grant assistant engineer’ Public Works Department, left Paeroa on Monday afternoon for Auckland to attend a meeting of tne New Zealand Society of Civil Eng.i neers.

Lieutenant E. G. Moncrief, M.C., who has acted as adjutant of the Ist battalion of the Hauraki Regiment for some time at Morrinsville, has be m transferred to Pukekohe as area officer. Tire headquarters of the regiment are now at Paeroa, and Staff-Sergeant-Major A. Steward, M.M., Paeroa, lias taken over the instructional duties formerly carried out by Lieut. Moncrief.
