It was stated at the Tliames Valley Electric Power Board meeting on Tuesday by the engineer that a considerable saving in current was being effected, and also a lessening o'f the voltage drop, since the erection of the synchronous condenser at, Turua. The condenser gave a better regulation <?f power and greater stability.
