GAIETY THEATRE PICTURES. TO-NIGHT. THE BANDIT’S BAY. The principal to be screened to-night is “The Bandit’s Bay,” a thrilling story of a train robbery and incidents leading to the arrest and happy release of the hero of the story. Fred Thomson plays the principal role, and is ably supported by his 'famous horse Silvey King.. , .SATURDAY NIGHT. WATCH YOUR WIFE. “Watch Your Wife” tells the story of a young married couple and the petty quarrels that-continually menace their happiness. The husband is an author who forgets his wife in his work. The wife, seeking affection, is continually at his elbow-, trying to help him aloing in his work. The climax to their quarrels comes in a disagreement over the way a musical number went that they heard at the, theatre. WE MODERNS. In bowing to the dictates of modern times those responsible for the production of the big Colleen Moore feature, “We Moderns,” have provided cve.n the big thrill the story with modern ingredients. This picture is also to be presented to-morrow night.
TURUA TOWN HALL PICTURES. THE TEN COMMANDMENTS. “The Ten Commandments,” which Paramount is presenting at the Turua Hall o»n Saturday, is recognised the world over as the most wonderful film that has even been made. The subject allowed scope 'for each individual in an all-star c'hst, and full advantage has been taken by the players. It is a subject that will have a significant message .to modern society—a message that is as old as the; world and as new as to-morrow. I>t deals with the problem of the result of old precepts flouted and old principles defied. THE GOLD RUSH. Tuesday’s programme brings everybody’s favourite, Charlie Chaplin, to Turua for the first time. “The Gold Rush” is a real love story, .tenderly sweet, strangely pathetic, yet full of funny angles that thread through this great comedy and turns tragedy into hilarious - laughter. Charlie never was funnier nor his antics more laughable. Supporting this picture are a Fox comedy, Fox news, and a Fox variety.
