SALE OF WORK.
METHODIST CHURCH EFFORT.
RAIN MARS THE ATTENDANCE.
Unfortunately Friday afternoon and. evening last was very wet, and such state of the weather no dAibt adversely affected the attendance at the Paeroa Methodist Church Sale of Work, which was held at the Centenary Hall. Even under the unpleasant conditions that prevailed the stallholders report that satisfactory business was transacted, and as a result the church funds will benefit to an appreciable extent. \
The hall was suitably decorated, and the various stalls, each displaying tempting wares, and in many instances representing hours of work spent by the members of the Ladies’ Guild, were tastefully grouped on both sides of the building, thus laying a passageway down the centre.
