WAIKATO MARKET REPORT. The Farmers’ Co-pperatlve Auctioneering Company reports:— Beef. —There has been practically no rise since our last report, although prices are firm for prime ox and cow, good yardings coming forward, best ex being equal to 35s per 100 a ; nd cow and heifer up to 325.
Fat Sheep.—Little improvemejit in prices is shown, especially wethers, hut ewes and hoiggets show a, tendency
:to improve; Store Shee,n. —There is no improvement in the price of ewes in lamb, hut a good demand exists for hoggets, .and 2 and 4-tooth wethers, good lines ■of hoggets being hard to obtain. Store Cattle;. —All classes are meeting with good competition, especially .grown bullocks, 2 and 3-year steers, and yearlings ; also a. good demand for empty cows and good yearling Jersey and Jersey-cross heifers-. Dairy Cattle.—Good dairy he,rds, ■and heifers close to profit, are meeting with keen competition, but backward and inferior sorts are not wanted.
Pigs.—The yardings of fats are still small, with prices firm at a.bout B%d. Big yardings of stores- and weane,rs are coming forward and meeting with keen competition. Horses.—Few good horses are offering, most of the breeders waiting for t'hei Cambridge Spring Fair.
