GAIETY THEATRE PICTURES. TO-NIGHT. DADDY’S GONE A-HUNTING. Another New York stage success has been made into a motion picture, "Daddy’s Gone A-Hunting,” and will be shown .to-night. The, plot centres ch the search of an artist for inspiration and happiness. Julie,n, the artist, is played by Percy Marmont, and he brings to the screen one df the finest characterisations he has; ever given. Edith, his wife, is played by Alice Joyce, and Virginia Marshall, a clever child actress, is seen in her first important role as- Jeanette., the artist’s daughter. WANDERER OF THE WASTE LAND. Also the thrilling story by Zane Grey entitled “The Wanderer of the Waste Land.” This, picture is in Natural colours from start to finish. DANISH TENOR SINGER. To-night the famous Danish te.nor singer, Signor Preboni Hansen, will make his appearance in conjunction with the pictures. Signor Hanson, who ha,s charmed and delighted thousands of people in Christchurch during this week and several preceding is described as'one of the most cultured musicians who have ever visited Christchurch. He has appeared in Auckland 48 nights, Wellington 32, Christchurch 27, Dunedin 26, Wanganui 11, Invercargill 16, Hamilton 10, and Palmerston North 10' nights.
