EXPENSIVE CHANGE-OVER. CONSIDERATION BY MINISTER. Changing the heating sytsems of the public -schools is- an expensive business, according to a statement made by the Minister of Education (Hon. R, A. Wright) during the debate on the education vote last week. Mr' D. G, Sullivan (Avon) asked if the department was considering the installation of an improved heating system in-public schools. The Minister replied that to replace the present grates, in all cases with an up-to-date system would cost a very large sum. The estimate 'for one particular school was £l2OO, and that indicated what the change would cost. He> intended ,to look into the matter without making any promise.
