Private advice has beeai received here to the effect that since Mr A. M. Samuel, M.P., arrived at Wellington at the beginning of last week he has been confined to his bed with a severe attack of influenza. Mr Samuel left his bed against the advice of his doctor to attend the opening of Parliament, and returned immediately after the ceremony.
