THE SAIL OF THE SEASON.

INTENSE INTEREST SHOWN.

The annual contest for the Sanfleie Cup has just been concluded on Otago Harbour.' This event, which is confined to a series. of races between fourteen footers, is now regarded as the classical, contest for sailing, boats in New Zealand waters. Increasing interest is shown each summer, and the event/, is rightly regarded as “the sail of the season. The euphony of this last phrase brings the mind back to the more ‘ necessary things of everyday life.
