HIKUTAIA DEFEATS PAEROA.

. SATURDAY’S RESULTS. On Saturday afternoon six rinks representing the Paeroa Bowling Club journeyed ?to Hikutaia and played an inter-club match. The afternoon was fine, and the green ,w aSi in an fo eal playing condition. The Hikutaia Club has the reputation of being one of the most hospitable in the district, and on Saturday the members' lived up .to the reputation deservedly earned. The visitors were royally entertained, and a-most enjoyable match was played, resulting in a win for the home club by 16 points. Alley) extended a hearty welcome to the visitors, and stated how much his club appreciated the visits, of neighbouring clubs. Mr E. Edwards responded on behalf of the visitors, and after acknowledging the hearty welcome he congratulated the home .team on so decisively winning the match. The speaker also paid a high tribute to the sporting and hospitable qualities, of the Hikutaia- members, and congratulated them on their excellent green and attractive environs.
