OBITUARY.
MR. PERCY CORBETT. Considerable surprise and regret wap expressed in Paeroa to-day when intelligence was* received from the Waihi Hospital of the death of Mr P. Corbett, a member of the Ohinemuri County Council representing the Waihi Riding. The deceased, who was 45 years of age, had previously always enjoyed good health. He had only been ailing for a few .days, so that the sad event came quite unexpectedly. The county flag is flying half-mast to-day out of respect for the dead councillor. 'The deceased was a son of the late Mr Corbett, who, in the early days of the Ohinemuri County, was engineer to the county, and was later mine manager at Waitekauri. Mr H. M. Corbett, also a member of the Ohinemuri County Council, is a brother of deceased's*.
