PAEROA REGAINS THE TROPHIES

A Paeroa team, consisting of McCullay, Power, Hamilton, and Purdie (skip), journeyed to Matamata on Saturday to try conclusions with the Matamata club for the much-coveted Goldfields Stars. The Matamata team consisted of Carter, Mclntyre, Sloane, and Stewart (skip), and the gamewas keenly contested. At the ninth head each team had registered 7, and a. tie was again recorded at the 12th head, and also on the 19th head, with 15. On the 20th head Paeroa scored one, and on the 21st two, making the final scores 18 to 15, Paeroa thus winning by three points in a hard and well contested game.
