PERSONAL.
Mr and Mrs G. G. Hunt, of Auckland, are at present on a visit to Mrs T. A. Moresby, Wood Street, Paeroa. The Rev. J. M. Beaufort, late vicar of Hauraki Plains, left to take up his duties at Raglan on Saturday last. His successor, the Rev. Averill, conducted his first service on Sunday.
Mr A. F. Steedman, manager of the Paeroa branch of the Bank of New Zealand, is, at present on six weeks’ furlough. Mr R. L. Miller is actingmanager during Mr Steedman’s absence, and Mr Henning, of the Auckland office, is relieving Mr Miller as accountant.
Mr W. F. Johnstone, chairman of the Ohinemuri County Council, with Mrs Johnstone and family, left Paeroa this morning on an extended ■motor tour of the North and South Islands. In addition to visiting the South Seas Exhibition at Dunedin Mr Johnstone intends to spend a few days in his old home town, near Gore, which lie has not visited s,ince leaving it 25 years ago. It is expected that the party will be away about a month.
