THE CROWDED HOUR.

“The Crowded Hour,” wthich is to be shown to-night, tells a story, tracing the development of Peggy Laurence, a selfish girl: in love with another woman’s husband, whose 'character undergoes, a great transformation through the heroism and selfsacrifice she witnesses when she goes abroad with the troops during the World War as a “Y.M.C.A.” entertainer. The brackgrounds for the story include the glittering activities of an exclusive night club in New York, and- stirring scenes behind tire lines in France. TO-MORROW NIGHT. ONE YEAR TO LIVE. “One Year to Live,” which is the principal attraction to be screened to-morrow night, is a story dealing with a girl who- is told that she has only one year to live and proceeds to live it as recklessly as, she knows how. The expected thing would be that the essential and most poignant parts of •that one year are left to the imagination. Aileen Pringle, as Elise Duchanier, is shown debating with herself whether she shall die without having her high and fast fling at life. When she finally decides, what she' does, decide, the camera trails her.
