VICAR HONOURED.
THE PLAINS PABIISIL MANY PRESENTATIONS. Kerepeehi people bade farewell to their vicar, the Rev. J. M, Beaufort, at a dance organised for the purpose and held last evening. While making the presentation, which took ,the form pf a cheque, Mr J. M« Thompson expressed the regret of the people at losing Mr Beaufort, who had done a great deal for the ■district, and who had been instrumental in getting a church built at Kerepeehi. Of this church the people of Kerepeehi were very proud. The function to bid farewell to the Rev, Beaufort at Patetonga .took the form of a'concert and dance. Musical items were contributed by Miss- Clark, Miss Clarkin, the. Rev. E. H>. Brooker, and Mr N. Wallace, and the sketch "The Bathroom Door” was presented, Mr Boatswain made the presentation of a cheque and expressed the Borrow of the district at losing its well-beloved vicar and conveyed to him the best wishes of the people for the future.
