HAMILTON STOCK SALE. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Led., reports:— In the Frankton yards on Tuesday last we had a good yarding of both isteer and cow beef. Fat steels sold firm at last week’s rates, fat cows and. heifers being slightly easier. A small entry of fat sheep was offered and sold at late quotations. Fat and store pigs were plentiful. Baconers and porkers lacked the competition of late markets, while stories sold at firm rates.

Beef: Prime heavy fat steens, £l7 to £l7 12s medium fat steers, £l5 16s to. £l5 19s, good quality light prime £l5 Is to £l5 3s, unfinished £l2 to £l2 19s, younger light £9 10s to £ll 12s. 6d ; heavy fat cows £l2 to £l3 2s 6d ; fat cows £lo' 12s 6d to £ll ; medium cows and heifers £8 16s to £9 7s 6d, light £6 ,_ss to £7 l'ss, plain and unfinished £5 to £6 ; fresh-conditioned cow’s £4 to £4 15s ; good quality 15months Jersey heifers £6 to £6 2s 6d ; 2-year Holstein heifers £4' 4s; good quality well-grown ,15-months Shorthorn heifers £4 ss, others £2i 2s to £2 ss. Sheep: Prime heavy fat steers, £l7 sold to £2 12s ; heavy shorn ewes 355, medium weights 31s to 31s 6d, light 27s to 29s ; spring lambs 345.
