PRICE OF STOCK. SHARP RISE AT TURUA. A general improvement in the stock market was manifest at the Turua sale, conducted by Messrs. A. Bucklad and Sons on Friday last, prices being better than the late high rates. There w;as a moderate yarding, but few dairy cattle. Best dairy heifers brought up to £ll 10s, and good dairy cows up to £ll. Beef was in keen demand. Good heavy-weight prime cows brought bom £lO 12s 6d to £l4 lOts, other prime cows -from £7 10*s to £9 15s, ordinary cows from, £4 15s to £6 15s, store cows from £3 l‘ss to £4 17s 6d, and rough and old cows from £1 10s to £3. Yearling heifers brought from £3 17s 6d to £4 Ils. Bulls also sold readily. Best two-year-old Jerseys realised up to £lO 10s, Shorthorns, £7 7s to £9 9s, and younger, £4 4s to £6 6s.
