CROQUET.
INTER-CLUB MATCH, The 'members of the Paeroa Croquet Club spent an enjoyable day on the local lawns on Tuesday last, when an inter-club match was played with AVaihi, resulting in a win by the home team. The visitors were entertained during their stay in Paerba, .and were loud in their praises of the hospitality accorded them. PRESIDENT’S AFTERNOON. On AVednesday the club president, Mrs G. H. Taylor, entertained the members on the lawn; The weather was line, aiud the afternoon was pleasurably spent. ‘ Two competitions were arranged for members, and also a competition for visitors, bf whom there were a number. Progressive and golf croquet formed the main competition, and the prize-winnens proved to be Mrs AV. H, Taylor, A grade ; Mrs E. H. Andrews, B grade ; and consolation prizes were awarded to Mrs McGruer .and Mrs Taiboys. The visitors’ competition was won by Mrs AV Bain.
Mrs Taylor was heartily thanked for providing such an enjoyable afternoon’s pleasure, and was congratulated on the success of her arrangements.
