PERSONAL.
Mr A. Tatter,sail left Paeroa this morning for Auckland, where he catches the Makura to-morrow for Fiji. Mr Tattersail has accepted an impoitant position with an Island syndicate, and his headquarters will be at N’avua, where he is to superintend the cutting up of 80,000 acres of land for dairying purposes.
The Rev. D. C. Stewart, Presbyterian missioner fpr the Hauraki Plains, who has received notice of transfer to Pukemiro, ,Was the guest of the people of Pipiroa at a farewell social in the Public Hall on Wednesday last. During the evening Mr Stewart was presented with a purso of bank-notes.
On Monday last a. social evening was accorded.Mr and Mrs A. Tattersail by the Paeroa Methodist Church members in the Centenary Hall. During the evening the Rev. A. E. Jefferson, who presided, presented Mr and Mrs Tattersail with a Doultoh salad bowl and a silver cake-stand, and a book each to Muriel and Herbert. In making the presentation Mr Jefferson referred to the high esteem in which their guests were held, and he made particular reference to their, willing services in connection with the work of the church.
