CHRISTMAS TREE.
CATHOLIC SALE OF WORJL The Christmas Tree and Sale of Work organised by the St. Mary’s Ladies Committee was held in the Gaiety Theatre, Paeroa, yesterday afternoon, and was continued . last night. The committee received fair public support in its undertaking, and when the doors were closed last night very little remained unsold. The following were the stallholders, etc.: Sweet stall, Mesdames G. H. Taylor, McDougall, and Miss Tierney ; jumble stall, Misses Dawber and P. Treanor; Christmas tree, iMsses C. ami I. Taylor, E. K. and D. Poland ; tea and supper rooms, Mrs W. Bain and assistants; strawberries and cream, Mns McDougall; nail-driving, Mr L. Smith ; candle-lighting, Messrs J. Barrett and N. Beattie.
