METHODIST CHURCH.
AN’MYEKSAHY services. The anniversary services of the Paeroa Methodist Church were conducted in the Gaiety Theatre yesterday, The services throughout the day were conducted by the Rev. Percy Cooke, of Matamat,a, who used a blackboard and coloured crayons to illustrate the points in his addresses. The morning service was well attended, and the afternoon sei vice was given over to the young folk, there being a large attendance, including the members of the local Presbyterian and Salvation Army Sunday Schools. During the service a solo, “There is a wonderful story,” was delightfully rendered by Miss Beth Butler.. A feature was the beautiful singing of the children, and in this respect great credit is due to Mr E. Morgan, who trained them. The theatre was well ailed in the evening, when a special song service was conducted, and an inspiring and helpful address was delivered by the Rev. Cooke.
