GAIETY THEATRE PICTURE®. WEDNESDAY NIGHT. WOMAN PROOF. Making a marriage proposal look like a business deal is the difficult task of John Sainpolis, playing Milo Blecch, a lawyer, in ‘‘Woman Proof,” a Paramount picture starring Thomas Meighan to be shown on Wednesday evening. Mr Meighan, in the role of Tom Rockwood, is in love with Bleech’s ward, Louise Halliday, played by Lila Lee. According to the will of the elder Rockwood, his entire fortune is to go to charity if his four children fail to marry within a given time. Should this provision not tie complied with, Bleech becomes the lifelong administrator of the Rockwood millions ; hence his earnestness to prevent Tom from marrying. Just how far he succeeds is humorouslv shown in “Woman Proof.” It is a picture all will relish because of its comedy and rich entertainment Qualities. EAST FOOTBALL CLUB. DANCE AND EUCHRE. A reminder is given that a dance and euchre is to be held under the auspices of the East Football Club at the Gaiety Theatre this evening. A hard-working committee has arrangements well in hand, and no effort has been -spared to ensure an enjoyable evening being spent. A special jazz orchestra has been engaged to provide music for dance patrons, and a euchre tournament, for which valuable prizes will be awarded, has been arranged. During the evening the opportunity will be taken to present medals won by players. The dance lia’l has received special attention, and a delicious supper will be provided. .
