DAIRY STAFF BALL.
LAST MONDAY’S FUNCTION. GREAT SUCCESS ATTAINED. The ball, organised by the Paeroa factory staff of the New Zealand Cooperative Dairy Company, held in the Gaiety Theatre on Monday evening, might be regarded as onfe of the most brilliant and successful functions held locally .this year, and the promoters heartily deserved the congratulations which were so liberally accorded them on their organising ability and thorough attention to the many details connected with the successful running of such an undertaking The decorations were as unique as , they were handsome, and comprise! for the most part yardis of many coloured streamers, nikau palms and other greenery, and felectric lights. The stage was attractively decorated in a manner different to the usual style saen in Paeroa, and looked very pretty. The floor was in fairty good order, and any defects in that respect were rendered unnoticeable by the irresistible music supplied by the Morrinsvil’.e Jazz Band. The ballroom was all too small to accommodate the large number of people, who were present from all parts of the district, as well as Thames* and Morrinsvill.e. An enjoyable supper was provide!, • -orations of the supperroom were both dainty and effective. The ball secretary, Miss B. Jones, ami the energetic committee are to be once again congratulated on the success that crowned their efforts.
