Mr C. A. Watson has been appointed assistant master at the Paeroa District High School as from June 1, in place of Miss Gibson, resigned. The many friends of Mr D. J. Web ster will regret to learn of his death, which took place at Featherston on April 16 last, at the age of 54 years. Prior to going to. Featherston the deceased gentleman was for some time manager of the local branch of the Bank of New Zealand, and while here made many friends. He leaves a widow and one son to mourn their loss.
