ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION.
MEETING LN I’AEKOA. EFFORT TO REVIVE INTEREST. A.n endeavour is being made to resuscitate interest in the Paeroa Athletic Association, and with that end in view a meeting was held last evening. Mr J. T. Brown occupied the chair, and there were about six members present. After a short discussion it was unanimously decided that the association should carry on, and Messrs C. Williams and C. Treanor were deputed tp operate oni the bank account and discharge all outstanding Habib itios, after which it was anticipated tint a sufficient credit balance would remain to enable a fresh start to be made.
An endeavour to obtain the services of instructors for the boxing anl wiostling classes is to be made, and the association will be grateful to any person prepared to come forward and assist in this direction. Mr C. Williams was appointed secrefory. and was authorised to call a meeting at an early date to report progress.
