A SUCCESSFUL EVENING.

An enjoyable dance, organised >r the Paeroa Catholic Social Club, was held in the Soldiers' Club last evenin’-’ and was an unqualified success. Despite the heat of the late summer about forty couples took the floor to the strains of the irresistible dance music supplied by Mrs W. Pennell and Miss C. Taylor. Mr C. H. Treanor capably carried out the duties of M.C. Mrs G. H. Taylor and Miss E. Poland were responsible for the delicious .supper, which was served shortly before midnight.

The object of holding the dance was to raise money for Church purposes, and a satisfactory credit balance >s assured as a result of the dance.
