OBITUARY.
MRS. ELEANOR McCLINCHY. Another of the fast-disappearing band of early colonists passed away on Wednesday last at the Thames Hospital in the person of Mrs Eleanor McClincliy, .wife of Mr Robert McClinchy and mother of Constable J. McClinchy, both of Paeroa. Mr and Mrs R. McClinchy came from Glasgow originally, and left Plymouth, England, in the Zealandia, which arrived in New Zealand forty-live years ago last October. Their first home was made in Patea, where they resided for nearly thirty years. During recent years the couple accompanied their ;on round New Zealand as ho. w,a« tiansferred by the Police Department, and arrived in Paeroa a little over three years ago. Mrs McClinchy has been in failing health for the last couple of years, and was receiving treatment at the Thames Hospital where she passed pcafully away at tiie age of 72 years. The funeral Will take place at Paeroa this afternoon.
