—o — QUESTION OF ALTERATION. COMMISSION SET UP. Mr H. Poland, M.P., has received the following communication from the Hon. R. F. Bollard, Minister for Internal Affairs, in connection with a petition asking that a certain area of the Paeroa borough may secede from the borough
“With reference to my letter of the 29th November last relative to the proposed alteration of boundaries of the Borough of Paeroa, 1 have now to inform you that a commission, consisting of Messrs J. G. L. Hewitt, Stipendiary Magistrate, Thames, WF. Marsh, Commissioner of Crown Lands, Auckland, and W. F. Wallis, District Valuer, Morrinsville, has been set up to inquire into the matter. *
“ The interested parties have been advised accordingly, and it has been suggested to them that they communicate direct with Mr Hewitt, who will act as chairman of the commission, for any information they desire concerning the date on which inquiries will commence.
